Behind him is a blue shield, with the sun on it, and eagle feathers. The shield is a totem symbol of guardianship. This shield will guard the pony and his rider during the day. The original was a mixed media painting on board using paper, acrylic, crayon, gesso, and watercolor. The print is 10 x 14, paper size 10 x 15 inches.
