Icelandic Horses are the oldest and one of the purest breeds of horses in the world, because they were isolated on an island. This produced a smaller horse with amazing mane and tail and a single foot, very smooth gait called the tolt. They are totally personable and come in all colors. Here is one in lovely greys with some of the warm desert colors I found in Arizona.
This painting was a mixed media on board, using paper, acrylic, watercolor and crayon. the print is 7.5 x 14, paper size 8.5 x 15.
