Broken Treaty Series: Buffalo Shield and Two Turquoise Horses

Notify me when this product is available:

This Broken Treaty piece is a sweet little vertical painting with two Appaloosas and a shield with Tatanka, buffalo.  The Buffalo provided food, shelter and weapons for the Plains people and was honored and revered.  There are two turquoise Appaloosas running in this painting.  It has a soft feel because the original drawing was done in pencil, then painted with fluid acrylics.

The Broken Treaty Series uses a Dakota Territories map from the Library of congress, torn and collaged onto canvas.  Then I paint on top of the map.  The series is Broken Treaty because every treaty with Native nations were broken.

This piece is 11 x 14, on canvas, ready to hang with wire. Comes with FREE SHIPPING!
